Application Guide

Step 1: Connect to ArborIQ

  1. Download the App: Download the ArborIQ app on your iOS or Android device from the App Store.

  1. Select Your Region: Choose your region within the United States. ArborTO and LawnTO programs are customized based on your local climate and conditions.

  1. Set Up Your Property: Measure your lawn, map your trees, and upload photos. This allows ArborIQ to analyze your landscape, provide diagnostics, and deliver tailored recommendations before applying products.

Step 2: Prepare for Application (Trees)

  1. Set Up Your Equipment: Ensure your 4-gallon ArborTote is properly assembled, with the valve securely attached and tightened. Have your measuring cup and selected product ready at the base of the tree.

  1. Confirm App Setup: Make sure your tree is mapped and measured within the ArborIQ app so application rates and recommendations are accurate.

  1. Prepare Your Water Source: Have a garden hose positioned at the base of the tree. It is recommended to run the hose at approximately half flow—not full pressure—so the soil can absorb water gradually during application.

  1. Fill the Tote with Water: Fill the 4-gallon ArborTote with water before adding any product.

  1. Add Product and Apply: Using the ArborIQ app, follow the recommended dosage and add the specified amount of ArborTote Liquid Nutrients (typically 4 ounces) into the filled tote. Open the valve and allow the solution to slowly soak into the root zone.

  1. Repeat Around the Tree: Once the initial 4 gallons have drained into the soil around the root flare (extending approximately two feet out from the trunk), move the tote to another section around the tree. Refill with water, add the appropriate amount of product, open the valve, and repeat the process to ensure even coverage around the root system.

Step 2: Prepare for Application (Lawn)

  1. Confirm Lawn Measurements: Once your lawn has been properly measured in the ArborIQ app, review the recommended product amount to ensure you have sufficient supply before beginning application.

  1. Prepare Equipment: Attach your ArborTote lawn bottle securely to the hose end of your garden hose.

  1. Set Water Flow: Turn your garden hose to approximately three-quarters flow. This provides consistent pressure for proper product distribution.

  1. Select the Correct Treatment Step: Each ArborTote lawn bottle is labeled with a number (1 through 6) in the top left corner. These numbers correspond to your seasonal treatment schedule. Follow the correct step based on your program, and use the ArborIQ app to track progress and timing.

  1. Apply Evenly Across Lawn: Walk at a steady, consistent pace while applying the product. Use overlapping passes to ensure full and even coverage across the entire lawn.

  1. Focus on Coverage, Not Saturation: Prioritize even distribution rather than heavy application. Proper coverage ensures effective results without over-application.

 

Follow the Seasonal Program

ArborTote is designed as a structured, seasonal application system for both trees (ArborTote) and lawns (LawnTote by ArborTote). For best results, each application should follow the program sequence as outlined.

Each product is labeled with a step number to guide you through the season:

  • Step 1 – Spring

  • Step 2 – Soil Foundation

  • Step 3 – Early Summer

  • Step 4 – Summer

  • Step 5 – Late Summer

  • Step 6 – Fall

Apply each step in order, following the recommended timing within the ArborIQ app. This ensures your trees and lawn receive the proper nutrients at the right time throughout the growing season.

 

Let the System Work

ArborTote utilizes natural and organically derived products that are safe for pets, children, adults, and everyone in between when used as directed.

After application, allow approximately one hour of dry time to ensure proper saturation. This allows nutrients to absorb into the soil before foot traffic resumes on treated lawns or around trees.

Light watering later in the day or the following day can help move nutrients deeper into the soil profile, supporting absorption and encouraging biological activity within the root zone.
